In 2014 Balaji Telefilms Ltd. acquired a controlling stake in Marinating Films Private Limited (MFPL) to showcase Box Cricket League. Box Cricket League is a fusion of Celebrities, Entertainment & Cricket all put into one. It is one of a kind arrangement that brings entertainment and cricket together in the form of over 120 celebrities that fill out the roster of 8 co-ed teams. Fundamentally it is first of its kind to have men and woman play together and compete in a rectangular box shaped stadium with a soft ball. Season 1 has been a great success and we continue to develop the concept going forward

Incorporated on October 1, 2014, Events Media LLP is a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008. Balaji Telefilms Limited (BTL) and Select Media Holdings Private Limited are the dual partners in this newly set up LLP.
The main activity of Events Media LLP is primarily to organise and manage different kinds of events. This may include events related to Films & TV Awards, Promotional Events and other events related to the Film & TV industry.
Events Media LLP is a sunrise venture which enables BTL to make a foray into Event Management. It also facilitates BTL in creating a new IP in the promising sector and monetising a growing market with low-risk culpability.
BTL & Events Media LLP recently joined hands to produce the Star Box Office India Awards 2014. The company focuses on developing both televised as well as ticketed events with IP ownership
